Classic Giblet Gravy Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ cup water
- 5 tablespoons flour
- giblets of one turkey, heart, gizzard, liver and neck
- 5 cups chicken stock
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 large sage leaves
- 1 sprig rosemary
- + 4 more ingredients

- 1 sprig thyme
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 2 ribs celery, chopped
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, separated
1. Sauté the celery and onions in 2 tablespoons of butter in a medium stock pot over high heat. 2. Add fresh herbs, chicken stock and giblets except for the liver — you don't want to cook the liver in the stock because it tends to make for a slightly bitter gravy. 3. Bring the stock to a boil, ...
