• 1 c plus 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, divided

  • ¹/₃ c chopped carrots
  • ¹/₃ c chopped celery
  • ¹/₃ c chopped onion
  • 4 c White Wine Fumet or clam juice
  • 2 ¼ c chopped fresh steamed asparagus, divided
  • 4 c milk
  • 1 ¼ oz chicken base or bouillon to taste
  • 3 c Alaskan king crabmeat
  • ½ c sherry
  • dash white pepper
  • Sour cream
  • Sliced green onions
