Creamy Low-Fat Potato Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
  • 1 (12 ounce) can fat-free evaporated milk, divided (can use fat-free half and half)
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (14 ½ ounce) can reduced-fat chicken broth
  • 2 -4 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste)
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
