Ingredients

  • 3 ¼ cups whole milk
  • 2 7-ounce cans corn kernels
  • 1 pound undyed finnan haddie
  • 5 slices bacon
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 splash of white wine
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • 4 medium potatoes
    • 1 handful of chives
    • 2 cups good-strength chicken stock
    • 2 teaspoons olive oil
    • 1 large onion
    • 1 tablespoon thyme leaves

In a large saucepan, heat the butter and oil, add the onion, and sauté over low heat for 5 minutes. Add the potatoes and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
