Hearty Minestrone with Shells

Ingredients

• 8 ounces Italian sausage, casings removed
• 1 onion, chopped
• 3 cloves garlic, chopped
• 3 celery ribs, chopped
• 1 carrot, chopped
• 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
• Salt and pepper
