Mimi's Smoked Salmon Chowder

Ingredients

  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup white wine
  • 8 ounces smoked salmon, cut into ½ inch pieces
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

    • 1 pound potatoes - peeled and cubed

    • ½ cup chopped celery
    • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons butter
