Old Country Chopped Liver


  • a few gribenes (optional)
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 6 Tblsp. schmaltz
  • 3 hard-boiled eggs
  • 2 cups finely chopped onions
  • 1 lb. chicken livers (fresh, not previously frozen)
