Quickest Chicken Noodle Soup

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 4 packages chicken- or oriental-flavor ramen noodles
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • Soy sauce to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil (I like to use sesame oil)
  • 1 teaspoon peeled and grated fresh ginger (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 8 cups water
    • 1 cup thinly slivered cabbage (like for coleslaw)
