Rice and Pasta Blend


  • 1 T margarine or butter
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 8 oz angel hair pasta, broken into small pieces
  • 1 ½ c rice
  • 2 (14 1/2-ounce) cans fat-free chicken broth
  • 1 c sliced mushrooms
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 2 T sliced almonds, toasted

In a large saucepan coated with nonstick cooking spray, melt the margarine and olive oil and saute the pasta, stirring frequently until golden brown. Add the rice, broth and mushrooms.
