Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cups fat-skimmed chicken broth
  • Salt and fresh-ground pepper pepper
  • 12 ounces dried orzo pasta
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • ½ cup chopped shallots
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • ½ cup grated pecorino romano or parmesan cheese
    • ¼ teaspoon crumbled saffron threads
    • 2 teaspoons slivered lemon peel slivered lemon peel
    • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves
