Spiced Carrot Soup with Cilantro

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup (1-inch) sliced fresh chives
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ cup half-and-half
  • ¾ cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro, divided
  • 2 pounds peeled baby carrots
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

    • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    • 2 teaspoons ground coriander seeds
    • 1 teaspoon paprika

    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
