Spicy Sauteed Broccolini with Garlic

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 pounds broccolini (sometimes called baby broccoli) or broccoli rabe
  • ¼ cup low-fat chicken stock or low-sodium fat-free chicken broth

Cook Broccolini in a 6- to 8-quart pot of boiling salted water until stems are crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Drain in a colander, then plunge into a large bowl of ice and cold water to stop cooking.
