Ingredients

  • 1 pound split peas, rinsed
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 5 cloves garlic, peeled
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 medium carrots, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
