Tortellini-Tomato Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ cup (1 ounce) pre-shredded fresh Parmesan cheese
  • 1 ¼ cups chopped onion (about 1 medium)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1 (9-ounce) package refrigerated three-cheese tortellini
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • 2 (14-ounce) cans fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth

Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add onion; sauté 5 minutes or until tender. Add garlic; sauté 1 minute. Add broth and next 5 ingredients.
