Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup Mahatma or Carolina White Rice
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 2 tablespoons oil
    • 1 stalk celery, chopped

In a large skillet, heat oil. Add rice. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until rice is slightly golden. Add onions, green pepper and celery. Cook until tender.
