  • 4 large rosemary sprigs
  • 4 1/2-pound chicken
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • 2 white onions, cut into wedges
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 8 plum tomatoes, halved lengthwise
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
