Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 4 lamb shanks (about 1 lb. each), bones cracked
  • 1 bell pepper (about 1/2 lb.), stemmed, seeded, and sliced
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • Hot cooked rice or couscous
  • 4 onions (about 1/2 lb. each), quartered
  • 1 can (14 1/2 oz.) stewed tomatoes
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ½ teaspoon pepper
    • Salt
