    • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/3 cup sugar
    • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • 8 tablespoons butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
    • 3 eggs (1 whisked with 1 teaspoon water, to make an egg wash)
    • ¼ cup milk
    • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 -2 tablespoon milk
