Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 cup plus 2 Tbs. warm water (85°F)
  • 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • Seasonings from one of the variations
  • ¾ tsp. turmeric
  • ¼ tsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbs. Asian sesame oil; more for the finished breadsticks
  • + 15 more ingredients
    • ¾ cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
    • ½ tsp. cayenne
    • 3 Tbs. chopped fresh thyme
    • 1 Tbs. paprika
    • Kosher salt for the finished breadsticks
    • 2 tsp. kosher salt
    • 1/3 cup olive oil; more for the finished breadsticks
    • 2 Tbs. chopped fresh rosemary
    • 2 Tbs. chopped fresh chives
    • 1 tsp. active dry yeast
    • ¼ cup cornmeal
    • 1 Tbs. freshly ground cumin seeds
    • 1 Tbs. sesame seeds, preferably black
    • 1-½ tsp. kosher salt
    • 1 lb. (3-½ cups) all-purpose flour
