Mozzarella and Prosciutto Pizza with Balsamic Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 12-ounce red onion
  • 1 ½ teaspoons coarse salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 10 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 ½ cups unbleached all purpose flour
  • + 11 more ingredients
    • Balsamic vinegar
    • 1 large red bell pepper
    • 4 large garlic cloves
    • 1 cup coarsely grated whole-milk mozzarella cheese
    • All purpose flour
    • 3 tablespoons coarsely grated Parmesan cheese
    • 4 thin slices prosciutto
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
    • 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Mix flour and salt in large bowl. Place 1/2 cup warm water in small bowl. Sprinkle yeast over water and stir to blend. Let stand until dissolved, about 10 minutes.
