Ham, Apples and Sweet Potato Casserole


  • ¾ cup hot water
  • 1 center slice ham, about 12 to 16 ounces
  • 3 medium sweet potatoes, about 1 ½ pounds, peeled and sliced ¼-inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
  • 4 apples, quartered

Brown the ham on both sides; place in baking dish. Spread apples and sliced sweet potatoes over ham then sprinkle with brown sugar. Add hot water. Cover and bake at 350° for about 60 minutes, or until tender. Baste occasionally while cooking. Remove cover last 15 minutes. Serves 4. Related Recipe...
