Potato Gratin with Haricots Verts and Ham
Ingredients
- 2 pounds small red potatoes, thinly sliced
- 4 ounces haricots verts, trimmed
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 2 bay leaves
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt

- 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Gruyère cheese
- Cooking spray
- ½ cup thinly sliced deli smoked ham, chopped
- 3 cups 2% low-fat milk
Preheat oven to 400°. Combine first 4 ingredients in a large saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
