Spaghetti with herby pork meatballs


  • 300g/11oz spaghetti, cooked according to packet instructions, drainedGrated mozzarella or parmesan
  • 3 tsp chopped fresh marjoram or 2 tsp chopped fresh sage
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • 800g/1lb 12oz tinned chopped tomatoes
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled, crushed
  • 1 onion, peeled, sliced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 free-range egg, beaten
    • 3 garlic cloves, peeled, crushed
    • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
    • 1 tsp chopped fresh parsley
    • 450g/1lb minced pork
