Grilled Pork Roast With Fruit Compote

- 1 (4-lb.) boneless pork loin roast, trimmed
- Kitchen string
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
