Horseradish Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • ½ cup dry bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef

    • ½ pound ground pork or turkey
    • SAUCE:
    • ½ cup water
    • ½ cup ketchup
    • ½ cup chili sauce
    • 1 small onion, finely chopped
    • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
    • ¼ cup cider vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 garlic clove, minced
    • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
    • ¼ teaspoon hot pepper sauce

1. In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Crumble meat over mixture; mix well. Shape into 1-1/2-in. balls. Place in a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan.
