Pan-Seared Chops with Pear and Soy-Ginger Glaze

Ingredients

  • ½ cup(s) flour
  • 1 teaspoon(s) dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon(s) freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 ½ tablespoon(s) olive oil
  • Pear Glaze:
  • 1/3 cup(s) pear nectar , plus 2 tablespoons
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • ½ cup(s) brown sugar , packed
    • 4 bone-in center loin pork chops, about ¾-inch thick
    • 3 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoon(s) unseasoned rice vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon(s) fresh ginger root, grated
    • 4 firm but ripe Anjour pears, peeled, halved lengthwise, cored, and cut into ½-inch wedges
    • 2 teaspoon(s) cornstarch
    • ¼ teaspoon(s) cayenne
