Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¾ tablespoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seed
  • 1 pasta recipe or 1 1/2 pounds of spaghetti, cooked and drained
  • ½ cup dry red wine
  • Natural or synthetic sausage casings
  • 1 ½ pounds boneless pork shoulder cut into 1-inch strips

    • 2 teaspoons salt
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 3 medium green peppers, seeded, halved and sliced
    • 1 ½ tablespoons chopped parsley
    • 1 large clove garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon shortening
    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
    • 3 medium onions, halved and sliced
