Onion and Sausage Casserole


  • 3 large sweet onions, thinly sliced, about 5 cups sliced
  • ¾ cup round buttery cracker crumbs
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage, cooked and drained
  • 1 (10 ¾ ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 (2-ounce) jar diced pimiento, drained
  • ¼ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • ½ cup (2 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese

Arrange onions in a lightly greased 12x8x2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cracker crumbs. Combine remaining ingredients except cheese; spoon over onions. Cover and bake at 400° for 30 minutes.
