Ingredients

  • ½ cup polenta or finely ground cornmeal
  • Caramelized fruit (recipe below)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¾ cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sliced almonds, plus more for garnish
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
    • 1 ½ cups creme fraiche or sour cream

Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease and flour an 11-inch tart pan with a removable bottom. Cream together butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and salt with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
