Amaretti-Stuffed Peaches
Ingredients
- 2 ½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- mascarpone cheese or crème fraîche
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup amaretti (Italian almond macaroons, preferably Lazzaroni brand)
- 1 large egg

Put oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 350°F. Melt 2 tablespoons butter and pour into a 13- by 9-inch glass or ceramic baking dish.
