Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • Cooking oil spray
  • 8 eggs, divided
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh thyme leaves
  • 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2- to 1-in. pieces
  • 1 pound thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • + 11 more ingredients
    • 3 cups hard apple cider
    • 4 stalks celery, thinly sliced
    • 2 teaspoons salt, divided
    • ¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
    • 2 cups yellow cornmeal
    • 2 ½ cups low-fat milk
    • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • ½ cup butter
    • 1 ½ cups flour
    • ¼ cup granulated sugar
    • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream

1. Preheat oven to 350°. Spray a 10- by 15-in. rimmed baking sheet or two 9- by 13-in. baking pans with cooking oil spray and set aside. Melt butter and set aside. 2.
