Apple Pie ala Mode


  • 15 ounce(s) 9" refrigerated pie crust (2 crusts)
  • 3 pound(s) cooking apples, or 6 cups sliced apples
  • 2/3 cup(s) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon(s) ground nutmeg (may use freshly grated nutmeg)
  • 1 ½ tablespoon(s) corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon(s) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
