Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons lemon
  • 1 cup hazelnuts
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 10 tablespoons sugar plus additional for dipping Champagne flutes
  • 9-inch-diameter tart pan with removable bottom
  • 2 pounds Granny Smith apples
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • ¾ cup whole milk
    • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
    • 1 cup hard apple cider orvdry white wine
    • Whipped cream
    • ¼ teaspoon (generous) salt
    • 8 cups fresh breadcrumbs made from crustless Italian or French bread
