Apricot and Walnut Varenikis

  • 2 tablespoons apricot brandy
  • 6 ounces dried apricots (preferably California)
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ¼ cup water
    • Pierogi and vareniki dough

Bring water and 1/4 cup sugar to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in brandy.
