APRICOT BARS

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup(s) quick oats
  • 1 ¾ cup(s) flour
  • 1 cup(s) Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
  • 1 cup(s) shortening
  • pinch of salt
  • Filling
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • 1 pound(s) chopped apricots (can cook with water first)
    • ½ cup(s) water
    • ¼ cup(s) sugar
    • 1 teaspoon(s) flour

Mix together first 6 ingredients. Put 2/3 of mixture in 8x12 greased pan and pat down. Cook filling until thick, then let cool. Spread over mixture in pan. Sprinkle the 1/3 crumb mixture reserved on top and pat down. Bake 25-30 min. at 350.
