Ingredients

  • About ½ cup apricot jam
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • 1 cup (1/2 lb.) butter, at room temperature
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 1 ½ cups finely ground walnuts (see notes)

1. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer on medium speed, beat butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg yolks and vanilla and beat until well blended.
