  • ½ teaspoon grated orange peel
  • Patty-cake crust (recipe follows)
  • ¾ teaspoon almond extract
  • ¼ to 1/2 teaspoon ground mace (see notes)
  • 6 cups apricot quarters (about 2 lb. whole fruit)
  • ¾ to 1 1/4 cups packed powdered sugar (see notes)

1. In a large bowl, with a flexible spatula, combine sugar, mace, almond extract, and orange peel. Add apricots and mix.
