Asian Steamed Buns with Bok Choy and Chinese Chives Recipe

Ingredients

  • ½ cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup plain almond milk or soy milk, at room temperature
  • ½ pound trimmed mustard greens
  • + 11 more ingredients
    • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
    • 10 ounces shiitake mushrooms, stems discarded and caps thinly sliced
    • 6 garlic cloves, minced
    • 2 large shallots, minced
    • ½ pound baby bok choy, cut into ½-inch pieces
    • ½ cup chopped Chinese chives
    • ½ cup chopped basil
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons sweet chile sauce
    • Salt and freshly ground pepper
    • Sriracha sauce, for serving (optional)
