Avocado-Orange Salsa


  • 1 to 2 teaspoons chipotle chile purée (see below)
  • 1 ½ pounds oranges
  • Salt
  • 1 cup diced (1/4 in.) English cucumber
  • 2 avocados (about 1 lb. total)
  • ½ cup minced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

1. Cut ends off oranges, then cut off peels and outer membranes and discard. Slice oranges 1/2 inch thick, then cut into cubes, discarding seeds. Place in a bowl. 2.
