Ingredients

  • 4 8-oz ramekins
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ medium onion
  • buttered toast
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 1 ¼ pounds spinach
    • bacon

Preheat oven to 400°F. Cook onion in butter in a 10-inch heavy skillet over moderate heat, stirring, until softened, about 5 minutes.
