Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups canned crushed tomatoes in thick puree
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • ½ pound ziti
  • 1 ½ cups grated, packaged mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup store-bought or homemade pesto
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
