Banana Pudding with Vanilla Wafer Crumble

  • 3 Tbs. banana liqueur (or 1 tsp. banana flavoring)
  • 1 cup vanilla wafers (about 15 cookies)
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 Tbs. unsalted butter
  • ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • + 7 more ingredients
    • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
    • 5 large egg yolks
    • Pinch salt
    • 2 cups whole milk
    • ¼ tsp. salt
    • 2 tsp. sugar
    • 1 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted

Whisk the egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and salt together in a medium bowl and set aside. Bring the milk to a boil in a medium saucepan.
