Beer-Braised Bratwursts with Onion

Ingredients

• 1 ½ cups (12 ounces) brown ale, such as Newcastle
• 2 medium white onions, sliced into ¼-inch-thick rings
• 12 bratwursts
• 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
• 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
