Ingredients

  • 5 cups assorted fresh berries (such as raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries; about 8 ounces of each)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 ½ tablespoons old-fashioned oats
  • 7 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 ½ tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • 6 tablespoons water
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 6 tablespoons whole almonds
    • 6 tablespoons golden brown sugar
    • ¼ cup quick-cooking tapioca
    • 1/3 cup solid vegetable shortening

Blend flour, sugar, and salt in processor. Add butter and shortening; using on/off turns, cut in until mixture resembles coarse meal.
