Best Caramels 2


  • 2 cup(s) canned milk
  • 1 ¾ cup(s) white Karo corn syrup
  • 2 cup(s) white sugar
  • 1 cup(s) Margarine
  • 1 cup(s) chopped nuts
  • dash of salt

Boil all ingredients together, except the nuts and 1 cup of the canned milk. Boil 30 minutes. Add the second cup of canned milk and boil to firm ball stage. Add nuts and pour without stirring into a well buttered pan. When cold, cut into squares. I use medium heat to cook.
