Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup(s) milk
  • ½ cup(s) shortening
  • 2 teaspoon(s) sugar
  • ½ teaspoon(s) Salt
  • 2 cup(s) sifted flour
  • ½ teaspoon(s) cream of tarter
  • 4 teaspoon(s) baking powder

Use fork to cut shortening into dry ingredients. Knead gently 10 to 12 strokes to blend all ingredients. For crusty biscuits, place 3/4 inch apart on baking sheet.
