Ingredients

  • 4 egg yolks, beaten
  • ¼ cup grated semisweet chocolate
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 cups milk

    • 1 ¾ teaspoons cornstarch
    • ¾ cup white sugar
    • ½ cup butter, softened
    • 30 gingersnaps, crushed
    • 4 egg whites
    • 2 tablespoons dark rum
    • ¼ cup cold water
    • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
