Black Devil's Float

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1 cup(s) Plain Flour
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 2 tablespoon(s) melted butter
  • ¼ teaspoon(s) salt
  • ¾ cup(s) sugar
  • ½ cup(s) nuts (opt.)
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ½ cup(s) sweet milk
    • 1 ½ tablespoon(s) cocoa

Sift dry ingredients together. Add milk, butter, vanilla, and nuts. Pour into greased square or oblong cake pan. Pour the following sauce over the raw batter: 1/2 C. white sugar 1/2 C. brown sugar 1 T. cocoa 1 C. warm water Mix together and pour over batter. Bake 40-50 minutes at 350°.
