Black Walnut Pie 4

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon(s) butter or oleo, melted
  • 1 unbaked 10 inch pastry shell
  • whipped cream, optional
  • 5 eggs, beaten
  • 1 ½ cup(s) dark corn syrup
  • ¾ cup(s) sugar
  • 2 tablespoon(s) vanilla extract
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 1 cup(s) coarsely chopped black walnuts

Combing egg, syrup and sugar in medium mixing bowl; beat well. Stir in butter, vanilla and walnuts; mix well. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350° and bake 50 additional minutes. Cool before serving. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
