Black Walnut Pound Cake 6

Ingredients

• ½ teaspoon(s) soda
• ¾ teaspoon(s) salt
• 1 cup(s) Black Walnuts
• ½ teaspoon(s) baking powder
• 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
• 1 teaspoon(s) black walnuts (optional)
• 1 cup(s) shortening
• + 4 more ingredients
• • 2 cup(s) sugar
  • 4 eggs separated
  • 1 cup(s) sour milk
  • 3 cup(s) flour

cream shortening and sugar; add egg yolks and 2 T. milk. Mix well. Sift dry ingredients; add alternately with rest of milk. Add flavorings and stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350° until done.
